Gifts to the Annual Fund help bridge the gap between the actual cost of educating Marshall students and revenue from tuition and endowment. In the 2006-2007 school year, tuition will cover just 78% of the cost of a Marshall education. The gap per student is more than $2,500. Every student and teacher benefits from contributions to the Annual Fund. Gifts, grants and volunteer help from alumni, parents, businesses, and friends to Marshall’s Annual Fund, Big Circle Fund, and Marshall Magic Auction generate important income to meet the general operating expenses of the school.

Your generous support, combined with gifts from many others in the Marshall community, will provide the necessary resources to meet the needs of Hilltopper faculty, and programs. Gifts to the Annual Fund ensure that all Marshall students continue to benefit from:

	A caring environment with an average class size of 18 where students enjoy direct interaction with and personal attention from their teachers.
	A wealth of athletic, musical, and academic opportunities, which develop teamwork and leadership skills and allow individuals to explore diverse interests outside the classroom.
	Dedicated and inspiring teachers who have the talents and resources to guide each student to success

The Annual Fund runs from July 1 to June 30 each school year.
