Volunteer

An integral part of Stillwater’s coaching team, Jenni Schaller has been a dedicated volunteer for the Stillwater past 4 seasons, working daily with a large group of intermediate levels skiers.  Jenni is knowledgeable, caring and approachable, an excellent resource of newer skiers trying to learn the ropes of skiing or of how to navigate the systems of our large team.  Jenni is a creative coach who works hard to make physically challenging and psychologically rewarding.  For example, during this season’s depressingly long dry land training season, Jenni researched and implemented several wonderful “back woods obstacle courses” for our team, each designed to bring fun and freshness to practice, while providing excellent strength, balance and cardiovascular training.  In addition, Jenni handles the formidable task of distributing, reclaiming, and reordering our 142 race bibs for every race….a thankless but critical task for keeping things on track at hurried, after-school competitions or cold Saturday morning relays.  Our whole team, coaches and athletes alike, have become dependent on Jenni’s organizational skills, on her willingness and ability to help our team, and most importantly on her positive attitude and generous commitment of her time and energy.
